The Academy Award-winning Godzilla Minis One Director Takashi Yamezaki was tapped to direct a new Kaiju film. Now fans can enjoy the results in a promo featuring “Foodlosslla”. Godzilla Minus One has been a huge hit in Japan since its release last fall. One of the reasons for this is that it won Best visual effects at the 96th Academy Awards earlier this month. The new version of Godzilla was a huge hit with fans. Now, that same eye is being used for a new fun project.

Godzilla Minus One Director Takashi Yamazaki collaborated with Ajinomoto, a Japanese cooking product line. Together they created a new promo to bring the Kaiju director’s expertise to life. The advertisement highlights the huge amount of food wasted in Japan (2,44 million tons) and the creation of a Kaiju called “Foodlosslla”, which is made from all the food that’s not eaten or cooked. It’s an impressive looking monster, but only with the director’s eyes.

Godzilla Minus one Streaming Release Date

Godzilla Minus One has announced its plans to release its Blu-ray/DVD in Japan but not for other international territories. Unfortunately, this also means that a streaming release is yet to be announced. It was an incredible win, as this was the first time in the 70-year history of TOHO that Godzilla had won the Best Visual Effects award at the 9th Academy Awards. Takashi Yamazaki, the director of the film, said this about the award during the ceremony.

My career started 40 years ago after I saw Star Wars, and Close Encounters 3rd Kind. Even the thought of being able to stand on this stage was out of reach for someone who lived so far away from Hollywood. We felt like Rocky Balboa the moment we received our nomination. Our biggest rivals welcomed us into the ring on an equal basis, which is already a miracle. We are here. Hollywood listened to all VFX artists, and this award proves that everyone can succeed. Finaly, on behalf the cast and crew Godzilla minus One I would like to inform our producer Shuji Abe who we have lost too soon…We did it! “Thank you so much!!
