Hollywood Mourns: Daniel Balaji, 48, Suffers Fatal Heart Attack – Fans Devastated!

Tamil actor Daniel Balaji died on Friday night (March 29) after suffering an attack on his heart at Chennai, India. According to reports the actor complained of chest pains on the Friday and was transported to an in-house hospital in Chennai’s Kottivakam as reported by India Today. He died in spite of receiving treatment. The body was transported to his Purasaiwalkam home for the final burial According to the media newspaper.

Balaji’s sudden passing at the age of 48 has shocked his fans and his colleagues in the Tamil movie industry. The 30th of March is when the majority of Tamil film directors, actors and film makers are expected to pay tributes to him when they take their last breaths. Details of the funeral are pending.

The actor was famous for his roles in films that were portrayed as villains. He portrayed Amudhan In Gautham Menon as well as Kamal Haasan’s Vaettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu, which is one of the most recognizable villain roles of Tamil film.

The news of Balaji’s death was a shock and a source of grief for his friends and family who posted on social media to share their sorrow. Filmmaker Mohan Raja described Balaji as his main inspiration to join the institute of film in an emotional tribute to his mentor.

Kamal Haasan wrote a Tamil message that translated reads “The unexpected death of my brother Daniel Balaji is shocking. The grief from young death is awe-inspiring. My condolences to Balaji’s loved ones friends, fans and family. Balaji will be remembered long after his death, donating his eyes. My thanks for Balaji who has brought light.”

 

Indian actress Atharvaa Aharvaa wrote, “It’s one of the days where you realize the fact that “only” the time we spend and the people who we connect with is what matters most. I would like to spend more time with each other. REST IN PEACE Balaji Chithappa.

Actress Radikaa was honored Balaji, writing, “Unbelievable! Daniel Balaji is a talented actor who made his debut on the ‘Our Radaan’ Chithi’ serial. Even though he played the role of a negative character in “Chithi,” he earned massive acclaim. He was a truly wonderful person. His death saddens me. I pray that his soul rests peacefully.”

The producer CV Kumar said, “He gave life to my scripts in my debut two films as the villains . He is the person I think of as my antagonist whenever writing scripts . Our conversations during shoots, arguments, fights will remain for me forever . Peacefully Rudran & Boxie . My deepest condolences.”

At the beginning of his career, Balaji had the opportunity to serve as an assistant producer for Kamal Haasan’s elusive fantasy project Marudhunayagam. Balaji also appeared on the television screen as a character in Radikaa Sarathkumar’s Chithhi where Balaji played Daniel which earned his an acting title “Daniel Balaji.”

 

The actor made his debut acting in 2002 Tamil film April Madhathil. Then, Gautham Menon and Suriya-Jyotika’s Kaakha Kaakha made him a actor. He also portrayed as the villain for Vetri Maaran’s Polladhavan in the year 2006. His next film was a collaboration with Gautham Menon, and himself on Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu, where he played the character of Amudhan with a lot of flair.

A number of his notable movies include Yennai Arindhaal Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada Bairavaa, Vada Chennai, and Bigil. His last movie was Ariyavan.

Alongside Tamil movies, Balaji has also appeared in a handful of Malayalam, Telugu, and Kannada films. Apart from his role as an actor Balaji was regarded as a religious person and was reported to be planning to build an Avadi church located in Avadi.
