Leak’s most iconic role was as Colleen, one of the daughters in the film, where she starred alongside Lucille Ball and Henry Fonda. The movie depicted a large blended family and remains a cherished classic. Although the film was remade in 2005 under the same title, Leak was not involved in the remake.

She appeared in various soap operas such as “The Young and the Restless,” “One Life to Live,” “Guiding Light,” “Another World,” and “Ryan’s Hope.” Leak also graced the screens of popular shows like “The Mary Tyler Moore Show,” “Ironside,” “Wojeck,” and the original version of “Hawaii Five-O.”
