Brooke Burke won’t be running down the aisle any time soon. Burke and Scott Rigsby have been engaged since nearly three years. It appears that she is the one who’s holding up their nuptials. Burke joked that Risgby was sick of her not knowing the answer. “I haven’t shared this with anyone else, so it’s still something new.”

Due to scheduling conflicts, the nuptials were postponed.

She recalled, “We had hoped to be married in May. May came and passed quickly.” Before listing the many family events that took place during this time. “School, our two children turning 16 and getting their drivers licenses, Sierra graduating USC. Neriah should have been on tour. “We finished building our house in Arizona.”

She continued, “We barely had time to breathe let alone plan the biggest party of our lives.” “We’re back at the drawing board and need to get busy.”

Rigsby did not let Burke get all the blame, explaining that it takes time to curate something in a unique way. “I think that for us, the most important thing is to have an experience. It’s also for the children and us as a family. We want to get it right. Burke added: “Yeah. I’m also not rushing.”

Rigsby continued, “I told you we could get married in a weekend or do something quickly but we wanted to do it right.” Burke says that their lives have become so intertwined, they “feel married.” It doesn’t stop them from planning weddings.

She explained, “We began planning and scouting and all my daughters were really passionate about it.” She said, “We’ve got a great idea. We want to do something special and meaningful that is in nature. It’s going to be an expensive wedding. It’s been hard to get a break because of the season, Neriah’s tour, and the graduation of the children.
