Breaking: Mike Tyson’s Battle with Jake Paul Hits Major Snag – New Date in Limbo!

Mike Tyson’s fight against Jake Paul was postponed last weekend after Tyson , aged 57, fell ill while on a plane.

Tyson and Paul announced on Friday that they would announce a new date for their fight next week. The fight was originally scheduled for July 20th at AT&T Stadium, Arlington.

Tyson was taken ill by the first responders on his flight from Miami to Los Angeles, last Sunday. Tyson’s team attributed the incident to an ulcer.

The fight promoters released a statement saying that after a consultation with doctors on Thursday regarding his recent flare-up of ulcers, it was recommended for Mike Tyson do light to minimal training in the coming weeks. He would then be able to return to full training without limitations.

Tyson hasn’t competed professionally since June 2005. However, he has trained regularly for many years. In November 2020, he fought Roy Jones Jr. as part of an entertaining exhibition.

Tyson stated in a statement that “my body is in better shape than it was in the 1990s and I will soon be back to my regular training schedule.” “Jake Paul this may have bought some time but you will still be knocked-out and out of the boxing game for good. I’m grateful for everyone’s patience, and I can’t wait until later this year to give an unforgettable performance.

Promoters said that tickets purchased for the fight to be held at the Dallas Cowboys home stadium would be honored on a new date.

Paul, a YouTuber of 27 years old, has built a successful career in prizefighting by mainly taking on mixed-martial artists and journeymen fighters.

Paul stated that he fully supports postponing the fight so Mike Tyson will have no excuses on fight night. “My fans are aware that I won’t fight Iron Mike if he is not at his best. But make no mistake, when he enters the ring, I will be prepared to win with a spectacular finish.”
