This week, there was a sad news out of Nashville and Tennessee: A man’s body was discovered on the grounds at Nissan stadium, the city’s largest sports/music venue. The discovery was made just four days after country singer Zach Bryan performed at the stadium.
The man’s death date and cause of death are unknown. WSMV reported that a woman found the remains in the area and asked for help. She then contacted the police at noon local time.
Local media has reported conflicting information about the condition and state of the body that was found in Lot M, outside the venue. WSMV described the remains as skeletal. No other media outlet has commented on the state of the body. WKRN first reported that the remains had been wrapped in a plastic tarp. This sparked local concerns about foul play. A police spokesperson, however, told,, that the body had been discovered in a tent with a tarp. The police do not believe foul play played a role in the death.
As of the time of publication, no date or time of death had been established. The deceased was thought to be homeless and had been missing for at least two full days.
Next up is a rock concert on July 20 featuring Journey, Def Leppard, and Steve Miller Band. Nissan Stadium is home to the Tennessee Titans during the NFL season.
