Shannen Doherty ruled the big screen with the black comedy Heaths before starring in Beverly Hills 90210. Doherty starred in the 1988 film that has been adapted to a musical, and a television reboot. The story follows four teenagers, three of whom have the name Heather, who form a high-school clique. The film is not perfect, however, as a new student has vowed to murder the popular students, and stage their deaths as suicide. Doherty played Heather Duke in this film, and she definitely proved her acting skills and impact on teenage culture.

Doherty was 11 when she played her first role in 1982. She played Jenny Wilder on Little House on the Prairie in the ninth series and appeared in three television films following the end of the show. She was the last actor to join the series as it was its final season. But she made a mark, or Jenny would not have appeared in the post-series movies.

Shannen doherty was one of the first actresses to follow up 90210 with the Kevin Smith buddy film Mallrats. This movie came out in 1995. The film, which only grossed $2.1 million out of a budget of $6.1 million, has become a cult favorite. The story revolved around two best friends who went to the mall when their girlfriends broke up with them. One friend took part in a mall game show, while the other dated a store manager. Doherty portrayed Rene, Jason Lee’s Brodie’s ex-girlfriend, who began dating Ben Affleck Shannon Hamilton.

Kris Witherspoon played a memorable role in the NBC drama Our House which aired on NBC in 1986. The series lasted for two seasons. The Witherspoon Family and their struggles to adjust to living with three generations in the same home was the focus of the series. It was a classic, even though it only lasted two seasons.
