Studio Ghibli has become famous thanks to its beloved animation classics. The production house is currently making new films until today, Studio Ghibli Fest 2023 will show many of the studio’s iconic films at the cinemas again. This year, the festival will provide fans of anime with an overview of the films that are expected to be shown on the silver screen, including Spirited Away Live On Stage The live-action stage show for the one the only Studio Ghibli movie to be awarded “Best Animated Picture” at the Academy Awards.
The line-up for this year’s Ghibli Fest includes:
- My Neighbor Totoro – March 25th through March 29th
- Spirited Away: Live on Stage – April 23rd through April 27th
- Ponyo 15th Anniversary Special – May 7th, 8th, and 10th
- Kiki’s Delivery Service – June 11th, 12th, and 14th
- Nausicaa of The Valley of The Wind – July 9th through July 11th
- Castle in the Sky – July 10th and July 12th
- Princess Mononoke – August 5th through August 9th
- Porco Rosso – August 20th and 22nd
- The Wind Rises 10th Anniversary Special – August 21st and 23rd
- Howl’s Moving Castle – September 23rd through September 27th
- Spirited Away – October 28th through November 1st

GKIDS announced the details of the coming Studio Ghibli Festival 2023 on the official account on Twitter to let fans know the top Ghibli films that will be returning onto the screen in 2023.
- For those who love anime, luckily, Studio Ghibli Fest will be screened in cinemas across North America, with the festival stated as such on the Official website “Studio Ghibli Fest ” returning and more than ever! From March through November, you can experience the ten of Hayao Miyazaki’s most acclaimed animated films created by Studio Ghibli in the first national retrospective.
Every film will include an exclusive selection of the documentary program 10 Years with Hayao Miyazaki to allow you to step into the world of Hayao Miyazaki’s animation master. This year’s premiere is the first North American screenings of SPIRITED WAY: Live on Stage with two full-length performances that were filmed during the production’s critically acclaimed performance in Tokyo in the year before.”
